After a decade since its last release, we are offering the Orwell in AEB-L steel.   This is Brad's original steak knife. 

Taking a cue from our Guardian Series, our new Orwell scales are offered with our raw finished micarta and is slightly thicker than the Gatsby.  From the kitchen to the outdoors, this knife offer secure grip when wet.  This stainless steel is available in both Stonewashed and High Polished finishes.  Designed by Uddeholm AG, AEB-L is a great all around steel and we have received positive responses to our offerings in the Culinary line due to its toughness, ability to offer corrosion resistance, easy to maintain and sharpen.  We know customers originally used this knife in the garden, when fishing, and as an EDC.  This profile has a traditionally Bird and Trout design and we are offering it with kydex for this reason.  Pair it with a belt attachment and carry it securely knowing the sheath is impervious to weather conditions.  

Consider the Gatsby if you are looking for a steak knife that has a fully finished and polished blade and handle.  The Gatsby also offers its scales with liners.

As with all our knives, we recommend hand washing and lightly oil the blade between use for maintenance.

The Orwell ships with a cardboard sleeve to protect the blade, we recommend adding a kydex for improved edge protection while traveling or storing the knife in a drawer.
